A LORRY crash on the A19 this morning caused delays and tailbacks after oil and debris was left on the road.
The two trucks collided on the A19 southbound, near the Ron Perry & Son service station, at Elwick, near Hartlepool, at about 9.30am.
Noone was injured but debris and oil had to be cleaned up off the carriageway. One lane southbound was blocked, causing delays of 40 minutes or more for motorists.
The road is now understood to be clear after recovery vehicles arrived at about 10.30am.
