A SCHOOL is celebrating after being rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
St Michael’s CofE Primary School, in Bishop Middleham, near Sedgefield, was inspected in September and were awarded Outstanding in all categories.
Headteacher, Lindsey Vollans, said: “We are extremely proud of this achievement, which has been obtained as the result of dedication and hard work by all those involved with the school.
“This is also fantastic news for our newly opened nursery, which the governors made the decision to open in September, due to the incredibly successful results year on year achieved by the school. We continue to build on our successful partnership as lead primary school for the Durham SCITT, ensuring the next generation of teachers and leaders for children across the North. We will enjoy a well-deserved celebration with the children shortly.”
