A Post Office service is set to be restored in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
The temporary service will be provided by the postmaster at Barnard Castle Post Office from Wednesday, November 22.
The Post Office will be open at 4 Horsemarket every Wednesday, from 2pm until 4pm and every Friday, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Residents were left shocked when the Post Office in the rural village closed suddenly on August 15 after claims the business was not viable for tenants, who had hoped to run it alongside a sweet shop.
It is understood the Post Office continue to look for a permanent solution to the problem.
