POSSIBLE changes to mental health services across Hambleton and Richmondshire will be discussed at a meeting in Northallerton later this month.
A consultation into the future of the services - which could see the mental health wards at the Friarage Hospital close - came to an end on September 15 and the local CCG has called an Extraordinary Governing Body meeting on October 26 where the findings will be discussed and decisions made.
The formal meeting is open to members of the public to observe and questions can be submitted beforehand.
Dr Charles Parker, local GP and Clinical Chair of the CCG, thanked everyone who took part in the consultation and said: “Since January this year, we’ve engaged with over 1,300 service users, carers, clinicians, voluntary groups and local residents, capturing every comment and responding to a number of enquiries.”
The meeting takes place at the Civic Centre from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.
All items and questions must be submitted by 5pm on October 23 via HRWCCG.HRWCCGenquiries@nhs.net
