A MASS fitness dance takes place on Sunday to boost funds to help send a girl to the USA for revolutionary treatment to overcome a debilitating condition.
Lauren Rennie, 12, has suffered scoliosis, an abnormal curvature of the spine, since she was just one-year-old.
Lauren, who is a pupil at Durham Johnston School, has undergone various treatment, including wearing body casts, but nothing has, so far, helped to stem its development.
Her family is trying to raise £20,000 to take her to the US for a new form of treatment which she may be suitable for.
A zumbathon is being held at at Bearpark Workingmen’s Club, in Field View on Sunday, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
All are welcome to take part.
Call Joanne Rennie, Lauren’s mother, on (0774) 166004 for further details.
