A NEW series of local history courses is to take place at three venues throughout the autumn.
Among the subjects to be covered in the adult education series are sessions on The Medieval Monks of Durham, The Stockton and Darlington Railway, the Lambton Family and Penshaw Monument, Lanchester village and the history of Esh Winning.
Courses will take place at Newton Hall Community Centre, in Durham; Chester-le-Street Parish Centre and the new Hamsteels Community Hall, in Esh Winning, all led by Dr Dorothy Hamilton.
They are suitable for anyone with an interest in their local area and no previous knowledge needed.
