A TEENAGER who admitted taking part in a dangerous driving escapade, is to be sentenced next month for that offence and others of burglary.
Callum Michael Grice, 19, appeared at Durham Crown Court accused of driving dangerously in a Peugeot 307 in Malvern Crescent and Evesham Road, both in Seaham, on the B1225 and B1432 to Easington Village, and in North Crescent, Easington Colliery, all on September 18, last year.
Having pleaded guilty, the court was also told he is facing sentence having also previously admitted a domestic burglary, a pub break-in and driving while disqualified.
Andrew Rutter, for the defendant, asked for preparation of a background report by the Probation Service, prior to his client being sentenced.
Mr Rutter added: βHeβs only 19 and has a cocaine addiction and a report may be of assistance to the court.β
Judge Simon Hickey agreed and remanded the defendant, of Margaret Street, Seaham, to remain in custody until the sentencing hearing, on Friday October 13.
