POLICE are seeking to reassure residents after receiving calls about a possible stabbing - despite nothing being reported.
Concerned members of the public have called Sedgefield Police over the weekend asking for more information.
However, officers have not attended or been made aware of a specific incident.
A police spokesman wrote on Facebook: "As far as we are aware there have been no reports to police with regards to this, and no armed response was deployed to the Trimdon area.
"As always crimes should be reported via the 101 non emergency number, or 999 in an emergency."
