A FIRE alarm raised at a busy leisure complex forced an evacuation of the site as emergency services were scrambled to the scene.
The Hollywood Bowl bowling alley and arcade, at Teesside Park, Stockton, was cleared of bowlers as Cleveland Fire Brigade responded to the alarm on Saturday night.
Firefighters confirmed shortly after their arrival however that the incident had been triggered by an automatic fire alarm.
Witnesses reported that emergency services arrived at the Aintree Oval complex at around 6pm.
Hollywood Bowl was evacuated entirely as fire crews investigated the incident that was proved to be a false alarm.
Bowlers were allowed back inside the venue several minutes after firefighters confirmed there was no fire inside.
