A FAMILY have reported an incident of being racially abused by a gang of youths.
A 40-year-old man was walking in a park with his two children when the incident happened at around 5pm on Tuesday, September 19.
The man reported that a group of around five children or teenaged boys and girls were involved in the incident in Burn Valley Park portion of the Burn Valley Gardens and Family Wood, in Hartlepool.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "One of the male suspects is described as being a white male, aged between ten to 14-years-old and he was wearing a tracksuit with a white collar.
"Another suspect is described as being a white female and also aged between ten to 14-years-old."
