Darlington & D.M.C. Cancer Research Charity Trial, Brokes, Sunday
MARK WILLIS topped the hard course results at the Darlington club’s Cancer Research charity trial at Brokes on Sunday with a fine ride on his Montesa to get round the trick sixteen sections on just twenty penalties. Class A rider Ryan Brown opted for the hard route for his return to serious trialling after his hairline arm fracturing Bracken Rocks crash a month ago. Clerk of Course Colin Ayres and Jason Brown had everything well planned with three sections in the wood which certainly got the penalties flowing. The preceding section was the hill climb which all the forty six competitors attacked with gusto and where only Josh Thwaite and Ryan Brown failed once. The finale was a presentation of fine awards. And of course the Cancer Research Charity were the overall winners on the day. The Darlington & District Motor Club thank all who supported the trial, the individuals who donated awards.
