TWO kittens discovered hours after being born in a garden shed are in need of a new home together.

The ten-week-old brothers, Sam and Dave, were found as part of a litter born to a stray cat who was sheltering in a shed after giving birth.

After being found, Sam and Dave were handed over to Darlington-based National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL) members.

A NASSL spokeswoman said: "They are two very mischievous and very cute kittens, they were born in a garden shed and only discovered when the owner of the shed went in to retrieve the lawn mower and found the little family.

"The kittens were only hours old when they were discovered and the house holder immediately gave the mother food and water and they even provided a bed for her, they showed great kindness to this little feline family.

"They were handed over to NASSL and immediately placed in a foster home were they have thrived and are now looking for a home.

"We would ideally love to home them together."
