THE biggest street food festival in the country rolls into the region this weekend with some big names from the music world ready to get the party started.

The StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival runs at Newby Hall near Ripon from Friday to Sunday and will see performances from Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, chart-topping boyband 5ive and legendary Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman and Radio 6 regular, Huey Morgan.

They will perform a set at the end of each day of the festival which will see the best street food vendors from around the country set out their stalls with an array of street food to suit every taste.

There will also be an outdoor cinema showing crowd-pleasing classics, hots tubs and glamping.

There will be family entertainment throughout the day as well as Newby Hall’s Adventure Playground and Gardens open to festival-goers.

This is the first time such an event has been held at the North Yorkshire stately home and commercial director, Stuart Gill said: “We are delighted to welcome the StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival to Newby Hall and Ripon’s events calendar.

"The whole event is one which we hope our visitors will love as with Newby Hall, there is something for the whole family to enjoy."

The festival is open from noon each day and the £25 adult tickets are available on the door or online from streatpr.co.uk
