TICKETS are on sale for a one-day conference being run in connection with a light festival which returns to the region later this year.
The event is being put on as part of Lumiere, which takes place in Durham from November 16-19.
Arts company Artichoke, which is producing the festival for Durham County Council, is also organising the conference on Friday, November 17.
Entitled "Who are we and where are we headed?", it will feature speakers from fields including experimental physics, architecture, education and theatre.
Helen Marriage, Artichoke Director, said: “Following the success of the 2015 conference, the international Lumiere conference has become an integral and much-anticipated fixture in the festival programme.
"I am very excited about this year’s event and hearing how this fantastic line-up of speakers will respond to questions around the future of our cities and the impact of culture in regeneration.
"By inviting speakers from across the board, from near and far, the cultural to the scientific, we promise the conference will be a truly eye-opening day.”
It takes place at the Gala Theatre, in Durham, and tickets can be purchased by visiting http://tinyurl.com/LumiereConference2017.
