A POLICE officer narrowly escaped injury after being driven at by a rogue off-road biker.
Police were dealing with a road-related incident when they requested the rider to stop at the scene.
Instead, the rider proceeded to drive at an officer.
Durham Police said on a post on Facebook: “The officer did manage to get out of the way in time, however this is a serious incident with the rider showing no regard for anyone who was assisting with the incident today.”
The bike had orange mud flaps but no registration plates. It was also reported for causing anti-social behaviour later in the day.
It was being driven up Horse Close lane from the direction of Trimdon Village towards Trimdon Station.
- Anyone with any information about the owner of the bike or the rider is asked to call Durham Police on 101.
