POLICE are appealing for information from witnesses after a cat was kicked and stamped to death in public.
The incident took place in Caldew Court, Easington Lane, at about 12.35am last Sunday.
Police said the suspected cat killer is described as "tall", with a crew-cut hairstyle and was wearing a possibly green parka-type jacket.
He was accompanied by a second man who was with a lurcher dog.
- Officers are investigating in the area and have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting reference 50 100917, or to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
