THOUSANDS are expected to flock to a traditional Dales agricultural on Saturday.

Organisers of Eggleston Show are promising to provide fun for all the family with the 142nd show held at West Barnley Farm, Eggleston, Teesdale.

Preparations are well underway for the historic event and highlights this year include a visit from the Walworth Castle Birds of Prey and the Teesdale Alpacas.

Show secretary Roy Oxby said: "The preparations are going very well at the moment and all entries are up.

"We have got a fantastic entries for the cattle this time and over 200 horses."

The first classes are expected to be shown from 9am.
