FOUR teenagers have been released under investigation in connection with three offences after being arrested on a rural County Durham road.
The three 18-year-old men and a 14-year-old boy were detained after being stopped in a vehicle by PCSOs on Hurworth Burn Lane, in the Trimdon area, near Sedgefield, on Monday.
The males, who are all from Hartlepool, were remanded in custody and were released in the early hours of yesterday.
Sergeant Alex Clarke, of Sedgefield Police, said they were released under investigation for assault, dangerous driving and attempted theft.
A picture posted by Sedgefield Police on Facebook on Monday showed two police vans and one police car parked alongside a silver vehicle near to Trimdon.
Officers responded to the initial call “within minutes”.
