A NORTH Yorkshire dog rescue service has won a cash boost to help fund its kennel costs.

A £17,611 grant has been awarded to Moor View Rescue from Support Adoption For Pets, the biggest financial supporter of pet rescues in the UK.

Based in Harrogate, Moor View takes dogs from the local pound which would have otherwise been put to sleep within seven days.

A Moor View spokesperson said: “We have had an incredibly busy and expensive year and the funds donated to help with running costs could not have come at a better time.

“We take in dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes as we believe that all dogs deserve a second chance.”

Support Adoption For Pets is an independent charity established by Pets at Home in 2006 and has helped over 1,000 rehoming and pet rescue organisations.
