THE stars of Emmerdale took on a North Yorkshire village cricket team for an annual fundraising match.
The soap turned out a team of enthusiastic cricketers for the match on the village green in Crakehall near Bedale on Sunday.
A number of well-known faces were among the Emmerdale All Stars team, including Chris Chittell, who took to the crease to take on the local team, Crakehall Cricket Club.
The event is a successful charity fundraising venture and this year was raising money for the charity Bloodwise, formerly known as Leukaemia Research.
Last year's cricket match between the two teams managed to raise more than £10,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
