A WOMAN has died after being found unconscious in the Washington area.
Details released by Northumbria Police tonight said they received a report for a concern for female in the Washington area, after she was found unconscious at around 12.15pm.
A spokesman said: "Emergency services attended but the 41-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"At this stage her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing surrounding the circumstances of the incident."
