A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being assaulted by two people in Darlington.
The incident happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 1 on Barningham Street, in Darlington, at the junction with Corporation Road.
A man and woman assaulted the victim before looking through her handbag, but didn’t take anything. They then ran off towards Widdowfield Street.
The victim was left with minor injuries and was checked over at hospital.
The man is described as being white, in his late 20s or early 30s and was wearing a black bomber jacket and jogging trousers.
The woman was also in her late 20s or early 30s and was wearing a purple long sleeve top, light coloured jeans and had brown hair in a ponytail.
