WARNING: Northern Gas Networks is starting more work in Stanley
MOTORISTS are being warned of possible delays when four weeks of gas works start next Monday.
Northern Gas Networks is upgrading the ageing metal gas distribution network on Howden Bank, the A6076, near Lanchester.
The project involves replacing 250m of existing metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes to ensure the continued, safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in the area.
Site manager Shaun Williams said: “We will be doing all we can to minimise any disruption to customers.”
Two-way traffic lights in place from Fenhall Lodge to Ornsby Hill House for the duration of the works. Shops and businesses in the area will remain open as usual.
