DURHAM Cathedral is the setting of one of the region’s biggest camera club’s annual exhibition.
The Durham Photographic Society has about 90 colour and black and white prints on show in the North Aisle of the cathedral’s nave until August 31.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Dean of Durham, The Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett. It depicts a wide range of interpretations on the theme of Treasures of the North.
Durham Photographic Society has a long-standing connection with the cathedral and has held exhibitions in the World Heritage Site church for many years.
Members are involved in a number of photographic projects and exhibitions throughout the year. The cathedral exhibition is the society’s foremost print show featuring members’ favourite work.
