GASTON Ramirez has left Middlesbrough.
The club confirmed this afternoon that the Uruguayan has completed a move to Serie A side Sampdoria.
Middlesbrough say a clause in the deal means they cannot say what fee they received.
Sampdoria posted a picture of Ramirez with the club's president celebrating the news with a thumbs up pose.

He was given permission to leave Boro's Rockliffe Park training ground yesterday to discuss terms with the Italians.
In a poll conducted by the Northern Echo yesterday, 87 per cent of respondents said they would be happy to see the controversial playmaker leave.
Who's going to be the creative spark that Ramirez was? Who will link defence to attack? Great player on his day

The fact is, we wouldn't of gotten promoted without Ramirez, but we also might of stayed up if he stayed focused, time to move on now #Boro

Ramirez has left the building! So in total I reckon only around £12million spent so far! Great summer this! Cannot wait for tomorrow! @Boro
