Open Treasure, at Durham Cathedral, is hosting an Anglo-Saxon family fun day Picture: CHRIS BOOTH.
DURHAM Cathedral is asking children to design Anglo-Saxon style brooches to celebrate its new exhibition.
The designs must be A4 and entrants can decorate their brooch by any means. Entries should be submitted by Monday and will be displayed as part of an Anglo-Saxon family weekend on August 12-13.
They can be posted or handed in at the cathedral and should include a name, age and contact number.
