A PLANNED Mexican restaurants wants to serve drinks and show films to customers.
The application for the two lower end premises on Elvet Bridge, Durham, is for a drinks licence for the proposed Zaps Burrito Bar, from 10am until 11pm.
Applicants Zapatista Two Ltd, of Grainger Street, Newcastle, are also seeking to screen films for customers from 8am until 11pm.
The premises earmarked are 87A and B Elvet Bridge, the site of the former Continental Café and the existing Patrick’s Pizza takeaway.
Zapatista, which has Mexican-style restaurants in Ridley Place and Grainger Street, Newcastle, recently lodged its premises licence application with Durham County Council.
Representations can be made in writing or online, to the council, by August 16.
