It’s always a soaring success and now Sunderland International Airshow is set to impress fans again this year with another dazzling display of aerial feats.
Organisers of the annual crowd-pleaser have announced its return this summer with a programme once again starring the Red Arrows.
The scene is set for another spectacular show which will also feature the return of the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon and Aerobatic teams and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The Sunderland Airshow is one of the largest seafront airshows in the UK and the only major airshow in the North East. It is a showcase for incredible aerial displays, acrobatics, vintage aircraft and, back on the ground, music and family entertainment.

ParkFest kicks off with a pop-up Artisan art fair in the centre's grounds, a celebration of North Yorkshire's creative artists and makers. Held in conjunction with Scarborough Arts Forum, it's an opportunity to browse and buy inspiring pieces of original art, meet the artists and makers, and watch them demonstrate their techniques.

Goldsbrough Hall garden open to the public, Knaresborough, on Sunday, 12-5pm
Previously opened for NGS from 1928-30 and now beautifully restored by present owners (re-opened in 2010). 12 acre garden and formal landscaped grounds in parkland setting and Grade II, C17 house, former residence of the late HRH Princess Mary, daughter of George V and Queen Mary.
Gertrude Jekyll inspired replanted 120ft double herbaceous borders and rose garden. Quarter-mile Lime Tree Walk planted by royalty in the 1920s and a flower border featuring 'Yorkshire Princess' rose, named after Princess Mary.
