FILM-lovers are being given the chance to enjoy a classic movie in the beautiful surroundings of Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire later this month.

Pop-Up Cinema Yorkshire’s giant movie screen lands will be presenting a one-off open-air screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday 29 July 29.

The Forestry Commission are working in partnership with Pop up Cinema Yorkshire to provide visitors with a chance to see films in unique forest venues throughout the year.

A high quality cinema system will be erected for the event, as well as a range of food and drink stalls with a licensed bar. There is also no-frills camping next to the arena.

Pop-up Cinema Yorkshire is part of Scarborough based company C3 Events Ltd who have previously been responsible for the hugely popular Beached Festival and the firework spectacular Starfire.

Director Mike Lynsky said: " This is our second year showing movies in Dalby Forest and we’ll also be visiting other Forestry Commission sites around the country.

"Rocky Horror Show is an absolute classic, and we’re encouraging everyone to come along in fancy dress. We’ve also got a pre-movie DJ to get the party started."

  • Tickets are available online at popupcinema.org and are priced from £13.50 for adults and £9.50 for children.
