A HOTEL has invested £150,000 into its conference facilities as part of a major refurbishment programme.

Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield, County Durham, has revamped the Coleman Suite, one of its leading function rooms, which can take up to 380 seated guests.

The improvements are part of a £350,000 upgrade at the Ramside Estates-owned hotel, with plans to redecorate bedrooms, bars and boardrooms.

As well as replacing furniture and laying new carpets, the Coleman Suite can now be divided into smaller rooms, allowing it to be used for meetings, balls, awards evenings and a variety of other large and small events.

Lee Kirtland, general manager at Hardwick Hall Hotel, said it was wonderful to see the finished result.

“We’re delighted to offer conference-goers a versatile experience here at Hardwick Hall, with plenty of options available, from large banqueting suites to smaller meeting rooms,” he said.

“We like to think we have something for everyone and hope that those visiting for conferences will see exactly why we’re one of Durham’s and the Tees Valley’s foremost business and event venues.”

The four-star hotel, which is set in the picturesque Hardwick Country Park, has a range of conference suites available for both little and large corporate events.

Additional incentives for businesses include free Wi-fi, free parking on site and catering support.
