TICKETS are now on sale for the event on Saturday, July 15, at 7.30pm, at The Dolphin Centre.
The orchestra will present an evening of musical variety - this time including an opera overture, movie medley and dances from different countries. The programme includes compositions by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Copland, Holst, Horner and more.
Special guest performers North East Recorder Orchestra (www.nerco.org.uk) will play a range of music from classical to modern with a folk-song element.
Free printed programmes are provided with some background information about the composers and music being played. And there’ll be a children’s programme written specially for 5- to -11-year-olds.
At the concert, it’ll be cash sales only for tickets (subject to availability). At the event, you'll be able to pre-order interval drinks at the Dolphin Centre’s Bar; parking is free in Darlington town centre after 6pm and there’s a multi-storey car park in Beaumont Street; step-free access to Central Hall is via the Dolphin Centre entrance in Bull Wynd.
