A MINIATURE world will be opened up to public at one of the region’s museums next month.

Cleveland Miniaturists UK, a Middlesbrough-based dolls house group, will bring their Dolls House and Miniatures Fair to Locomotion: The National Rail Museum at Shildon, County Durham, on Sunday, July 9.

The event will feature a wide range of exhibitors, displaying an eclectic mixture of first class dolls house miniatures and accessories, many of which will be available to buy.

Cleveland Miniaturists UK members will also be exhibiting their project for this year, a collection of room boxes that members have made, depicting styles and fashions through the decades.

Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon is open from 10am to 5pm daily, and parking and admission are free of charge.

Visitors are reminded that the miniatures on display are collectors’ items and not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
