A WOMAN was pushed to the ground and had her rucksack stolen by a man as she was walking close to a river.
The victim was walking on the banks of the River Wear in Durham, just below Bella Italia, between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday, June 22.
Police say a man approached her from behind before pushing her to the ground and taking her rucksack, which contained money, an iPad and ID cards.
Police are appealing for information. Call Durham Police on 101, quoting incident number 124 of June 23.
