AN award-winning comedian is to appear at a comedy and music festival in Stockton next month.

Russell Kane will open the Stockton Stages festival by presenting an evening of comedy at ARC on Thursday, July 20 as part of his Russell Kane and Friends tour.

Tickets are now available to see the comedian, who has appeared on BBC’s Live at the Apollo and numerous other TV shows.

Essex quintet Eliza and the Bear, Scalesia, and Cellar Door will appear as part of the festival on Friday, July 21 at the Georgian Theatre.

Also on the same night, nearby Ku Bar will welcome The Sherlocks, alongside Catalyse, and Oddity Road.

On the Saturday Patrick Monahan, Jay Foreman and others will perform family comedy at a free event in Stockton High Street, whilst there will also be live music in the Green Dragon Yard, Bishop Street Car Park and The Storytellers.
