THE founder of a performing arts theatre is hoping to broaden the horizons of young people with two new apprenticeships.
Andrea Flynn, director of Enter CIC, in Ferryhill, says she is looking for “creative young people” aged between 16 and 19 to join the team.
The company has placed previous apprentices in the West End, in London, and some have gone on to full time employment within Enter CIC.
Mrs Flynn said: “We are looking to change someone’s life in a big way, we want to help them develop as a young person and give them access to things they might not have had access to otherwise.
“If they are creative and interested in anything that relates to the arts, whether that is singing, dancing, theatre or costume design, I want to know about them.
“If going down the route of college is not for them then maybe a creative apprenticeship is.”
Cameron Gough, creative coordinator and former apprentice, added: “It changes you as a person because you can do so many amazing things at the same time.” Contact 01740-655437.
