BURGLARS stole the ashes of a woman's father during a break-in at her home.
A blue urn containing the last remains of the victim's father was taken during the burglary in Jarrow.
The intruders also stole piggy banks, china dolls, a laptop and cash.
The burglary happened between 6.30pm on Friday, March 24 and 8.45pm on Wednesday, March 29 in Ravensworth Terrace.
- Officers are appealing for information and any witnesses are asked to call Northumbria Police on 101.
