A YORKSHIRE Dales road remains blocked after a wagon crashed into a wall and got stuck negotiating a hairpin bend this afternoon.
The road between Keld Bunk Barn and Yurts in Swaledale and the Tan Hill Inn has been closed for more than an hour while efforts are made to free the wagon, belonging to Ward Bros Ltd.
Access to the location is difficult and it is expected to be a lengthy closure.
Steve Cough, a member of Swaledale Mountain Rescue, came across the closure while cycling with friends.
He said: "The lorry was travelling down from Tan Hill to Keld. Just before Keld there is a steep section with some switchbacks and hairpins.
"The lorry has crashed into a wall on one of those hairpins and is absolutely stuck.
"It's not going anywhere fast."
