AN appeal for witnesses has been launched after a woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the early hours of Saturday.
A black Volkswagen Golf collided with two pedestrians on Ellerbeck Way, Middlesbrough, at around 1am as a group of three people were walking away from Ainstable Road.
A 24-year-old woman suffered bruising to her right side and was taken to James Cook University Hospital. Another man suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle stopped at the scene and a man briefly got out of the car, before returning back to the car and driving off.
- A 17-year-old youth arrested in connection has been released without bail conditions.
