A TOWN centre manager is swapping the high street for the heights of Kilimanjaro.

Tony Donnelly, manager at Billingham Town Centre aims to reach the summit of Africa’s highest mountain this month.

The 48-year-old will head to Tanzania for his eight day, 5,895 metre climb.

The mission will see Tony raise funds for two charities - Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and Development Direct, both of which are very close to his heart.

He said: “Taking on this challenge has been a life goal of mine for a number of years and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to fulfil it while raising vital funds for two hugely worthwhile charities.”
