A MAN in his 30s has died in a “tragic accident” after falling from the window of a block of flats.
Darlington Police were called to Cocker Beck House, off Cockerton Green, Darlington, at around 6am on Saturday morning after residents reported that a man had fallen from a height.
A Darlington Police spokesman said: “The man, who is not believed to be a resident of Darlington, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”
He added: “We can confirm there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Darlington.
“Officers are not treating the man’s death as suspicious and believe it to be a tragic accident.”
Cocker Beck House is made up of 18 flats in several four-storey apartment blocks, owned by Cockerton Green Developments.
Darlington Police cleared the cordon at the site on Saturday at around noon before investigating officers confirmed his death was accidental.
