Fifteen apprenticeships are being created as part of ongoing plans to revitalise a North-East town and offer increased training opportunities for the community.

Auckland Castle Trust has just announced 15 new posts for Bishop Auckland, covering everything from events support and visitor experience to horticulture and health and safety.

Applications for 14 of the roles are now open to all ages and backgrounds, with submissions closing on Sunday, June 18.

The remaining visitor experience apprenticeship will be recruited later this year.

Each paid apprenticeship will be based at Auckland Castle Trust and will run for a minimum of 12 months, with support from Bishop Auckland College.

The roles are among 60 apprenticeships being created by Auckland Castle Trust over the next three years as it works to transform Auckland Castle into an arts, faith and heritage destination of international significance in a £70m revitalisation scheme.

Further information about the new apprenticeships at Auckland Castle Trust, including full role descriptions and requirements, can be found online at bacoll.ac.uk/auckland-academy. Anyone interested should submit a CV and letter to Joanna.edwards@aucklandcastle.org
