A MAN has died while taking part in a vintage tractor rally in Weardale, County Durham.
Durham Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident – which happened at Bollihope Common on the B6278, south of Stanhope.
It happened at 11.30am on Sunday at the junction with Juniper Banks, towards Hill End.
A police spokesman said: "At the junction the driver of the tractor has left the road sustaining fatal injuries."
Anyone else taking part in the rally or members of the public who may have seen what happened is asked to contact the Collision Unit on 0191 3752159 or 101 quoting reference DHM-28052017-0209.
