SCHOOL staff and friends will be breaking out their lycra for a 150-mile coast-to-coast cycle ride.
Six cyclists from Durham Trinity School and Sports College will be tackling the route from Workington to Sunderland this weekend
Head teacher Rachel Grimwood, staff members Alison Jefferson and Julie Stubbs and Martin Day, Natasha Hendy-Heslop and Colin Bain from the Friends of Durham Trinity School hope to complete the trip in three days.
Alison Jefferson, the school’s business manager, said: “We know it will be tough, and there’ll be some hard times over the three days, but hopefully the knowledge that we’re raising money for such a good cause, and such amazing children, will keep us putting one pedal in front of the other.”
