A QUIRKY venture is combining mod and chips to tantalise the tastebuds of music fans at festivals and beyond.
Food fans in and around Darlington may have already spotted the colourful Codrophenia van, which travels the streets selling fish and chips to passersbys.
The van, staffed by chef Chris Seal and Dan Norcross – both from Darlington – also serves hungry festival goers at mod and ska events throughout the country.
Mr Seal, a big fan of the mod revival, said: “The mod movement is the biggest thing in the North-East at the moment.
“I’ve been going to festivals for years and years and it’s difficult to get nice food – you just end up with a burger.
“I never saw anyone doing fish ‘n’ chips, so thought I’d just go for it. We’ve been getting amazing feedback so far.”
