A NEW music festival will bring together some of the region’s best jazz musicians who will be performing at venues across Durham.

The Durham City Jazz Festival, which takes place between Friday, June 2 and Sunday, June 4, will feature more than 25 events taking place in seven venues across the city.

Organised by Empty Shop CIC and Durham University Jazz Society, it will include big bands, jam sessions and club nights and features acts like Swing Manouce and Taupe and Triptych.

Carlo Viglianisi, director of Empty Shop CIC, said: “Tucked away in empty shops, barber shops, laundrettes and on corners of cobbled streets DJAZZ is a music festival that really reflects Durham as city – it’s not to be missed!”
