A HOST of football-related fun along with some energetic attractions are on offer at an upcoming Thirsk fun day.

Thirsk Falcons Juniors, on Newsham Road, are holding their annual football fun day on Sunday, June 18 with attractions including a zip wire, climbing tree, rope walk and archery.

The event will also give budding footballers the chance to learn more about the Thirsk Falcons and the local North Riding FA junior football league.

The event is run in partnership with Carlton Lodge Activity Centre, McDonald’s Community Football Days and the FA.

The McDonald’s Community scheme is part of the company’s partnership with the FA which aims to raise the standard of grassroots football by offering better kit and support to local teams.

McDonald’s director of football, Sir Geoff Hurst, said: “It is so important that we offer everyone from the surrounding community the opportunity to get involved with their local clubs and what better way to do it than bring them together to enjoy a day of football together.” Admission £15 for the full day of activities.
