Thousands of sports fan retweeted his tweet and offered up their own comments on the subject.

— Phil McNulty (@philmcnulty) May 21, 2017
@Scottwilsonecho to think this guy was once thought of as an elite manager.
— Jay (@allinthepass) May 21, 2017
@Scottwilsonecho It's a bit risky for Moyes to assume that they'd have possession at any point in the match.

@Scottwilsonecho Absolutely shocking. This is why I hate modern football.I'm glad I was going home & away in the late 80s early 90s. They were the best times.

— Paul Williams (@pdjlk1) May 21, 2017
@Scottwilsonecho if Chelsea wanted to do this they should have kept it quiet and more than likely they would have possession and put ball out themselves
— John Pierre (@johnpierre1) May 22, 2017
@Scottwilsonecho If Roy Keane was still manager not sure the same would have happened somehow. Shows what Moyes has become
