MORE than 420 guests danced the night away at the sixth Beating Blood Cancer Ball held at Leyburn.
Organised by the Wensleydale Fundraising Group of Bloodwise, the evening commenced with a drinks reception, raffle and silent auction.
Following the four-course meal and a more conventional auction, the night continued into the small hours dancing to live music provided by the Sugartown.
The evening’s proceeds will all go to the Leukaemia and Lymphoma charity Bloodwise. To date the group has raised over £130,000.
Event organiser Julie Moffitt said: “It was a fantastic evening. Our thanks to everyone who volunteered their services as bar staff, selling raffle tickets, parking cars and supported us either by donating prizes, or turning up and enjoying the evening.”
