RAIL passengers are being warned to check before they travel between York and Harrogate over the next bank holiday weekend due to disruptive engineering work taking place.
The work will see Starbeck level crossing replaced during the long weekend of May 27, with trains unable to run between York and Harrogate via Starbeck.
A bus replacement service will be in operation.
This work will also mean that the A59 through Starbeck is closed for three days while work to remove the rails, track bed and replace the subway take place.
A signposted diversion route will be posted for motorists.
Passengers can keep up to date with the latest travel information by checking National Rail Enquiries online.
