PEOPLE will be doused in colourful paint as they run through a park this summer – but it’s all for a good cause.
Run the Spectrum, organised by the North East Autism Society, will return to Darlington’s South Park on Saturday, July 1.
The family-friendly event will see people sprayed from head to toe with vibrant powdered paint as they set off on a 5k run around the park.
Along the route, the now-colourful participants will also encounter a foam machine.
The annual run attracts people of all fitness levels, with all proceeds going to help the charity provide support for anyone affected by autism.
Registration is £20, with a pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £40.
Children under 15 can enter for free but must be accompanied by a participating adult, with the limit being two children per adult. Group discounts are available.
